- Appropriations Bill Markup Postponed: On Tuesday, the Senate Appropriations Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Subcommittee postponed its scheduled markup of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2020 Labor-H appropriations bill. With the FY 2019 fiscal year ending September 30, Congress must act on new appropriations bills quickly or pass a continuing resolution to avoid a government shutdown. We will keep you apprised of new developments, and we encourage you to contact your senators and voice your support for an increase in Perkins CTE funding in FY2020!
