The state’s role in facilitating work-based learning is the topic of a new series from the National Association of State Directors of CTE Consortium.
The first installment explores the importance of a statewide vision for work-based learning that sets common procedures and expectations, and aligns with related policies, to better integrate work-based learning into the state’s education, workforce and career pathway plans.
The document provides a number of key questions states leaders can ask themselves when expanding work-based learning. It concludes by highlighting Tennessee’s efforts to embed work-based learning into its related initiatives, and lessons learned.
