In advance of Perkins CTE Act reauthorization, the caucus has planned several events for Senate staff, including a school visit, to familiarize them with CTE benefits for students and the business community.
Panelists included:
- Steve DeWitt, Deputy Executive Director, ACTE
- Johan Uvin, Acting Assistant Secretary, Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education, U.S. Department of Education
- Kim Green, Executive Director, National Association of State Directors of CTE
- Robert Chiappetta, Associate Director of Government Relations, Toyota
Caucus co-chairs Sens. Tim Kaine (D-VA) and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) attended the event as well to share their commitment to CTE.
